Husqvarna Chainsaw
Chainsaw - Chain keep coming off my new husqvarna 142e. Even when I make it tight. How can I stop this??
Also after about 3 minutes the chain dulls and its harder to cut Each time the chain comes off the bar I have to get a new chain. Now on 3rd oregon chain and hardly used it!!! Having a nightmare with smaller trees as the chain gets caught on the bark and comes off. Help please, many thanks
chain comes off and some of the teeth are always damged and won't fit in the bar again thereby preventing chain movement around bar
I agree with The Outcast. Sounds like you bent the bar the first time you threw the chain, and you've been throwing new chains ever since. As others' have said the saw's still under warranty but I doubt if the warranty will cover this situation because it falls under operator error (sorry, but it's the truth) Still take the saw back to the shop you bought it from, and have them check it over. You'll likely replace the bar, even if it isn't bent (because running a chain with dinged up drivers will shell out the bar in no time), and the sprocket just to be safe. You, or the shop can also carefully check and grind the drivers on all those brand new chains to touch up the dings. Don't get rid of them, they're still serviceable.
Last but not least look into a chainsaw training class. I don't mean to be condescending, but the next time something goes wrong the saw might not take the brunt of the damage, you might. Chainsaws are great tools to have, and can be A LOT of fun to use, but they are also deadly dangerous, so be safe!!!
