Indoor lights into outdoor lights?

I'm looking for outdoor wall mount sconce style lights for an outside bar. All the cool ones are either indoor only or outdoor and $300 each. Is it possible to fix up the wiring/bulb receptacle so I can use an indoor light outdoors? How?
Will be low voltage lighting-mood lighting if you will, no 100 watt bulbs getting wired up

In a word, no. Lighting manufacturers put labels on their products that say 'Approved for outdoor or wet locations' for a good reason. That said, a fixture made for a bathroom (= wet location) could be used outdoors, but most of those items are more functional than decorative. Best idea (= what I would do) is to go to a recycled building material yard-type place and look for salvaged outdoor fixtures. For new stuff, one great site is 'Restoration Hardware;' another is 'Frontgate.' Low-voltage fixtures tend to be more problematic than they're worth (because of transformers, etc.), but that's just my opinion.

I have demo eye glasses w/clear glass. I noticed when I wear them my eyes strain. should that happen w/ demos?

Demo lenses are not made to be optically correct...hence the name demonstration. They are mainly used to keep the frame from losing shape, and also at times for sizing prescription lenses.

The only time a "demo" lens will have be optically correct is when you purchase a good pair of sunglasses.

Wait a minute...I can't believe some of these answers, First of all you should not reduce the speed of the blower, In A/C mode you want to move as much air as possible over the coil to absorb as much heat as you can, reducing the speed too much may cause the coil to freeze. And lets say reducing the speed from 1150rpm to 950rpm is not going to reduce your electricity to a point you will notice a savings, plus at that point the A/c will have to run a longer cycle to cool to the same point and you will be spending more electricity running the compressor longer.

There are many types of Blowers -- leaf blowers, industrial blowers, snow blowers, etc, Each type has different subtypes such as backpack, handheld, corded and cordless, wheeled, electric-powered and gas-powered, and so on. Each type and subtype differs in function and purposes. For example, while some of them may be specifically manufactured for home maintenance, other more powerful units are aimed at commercial users.

Electric-powered blowers require an electrical power source provided from an electrical outlet, through an extension cord. Cordless blowers, on the other hand, use rechargeable batteries and are more suitable for smaller areas because of their limited operating time. Mixing oil and gasoline operates gas-powered leaf blowers. 2-stroke gasoline engines generally power backpack blowers, while wheeled units generally have 4-stroke gasoline engines.

Snow blowers can be single-stage and two-stage. The former is a light duty machine that uses a single high-speed impeller (a rotor inside a tube) to pull in snow and expel it from a discharge chute. Two-stage snow blowers on the other hand, are heavy duty and have more than one low-speed metal auger that pull the snow into an impeller, which then discharges the snow into a chute.

Leaf blowers can be handheld, backpack or wheeled. Handhelds are most suitable for simple, home maintenance works. Backpack blowers are swift, has quick throttle response and fuel efficient and generally preferred by professionals. Wheeled or walk-behind leaf blowers are the best for maintaining larger areas and are mostly gas-powered.

Industrial blowers are manufactured using a range of durable plastics and metals, or a combination of both materials. Function includes drying, reducing heat levels, reducing smoke and odors, processing and controlling gaseous fumes in industrial settings like factories.

Can you tell me how to adjust the carburator for a poulan chainsaw?

I have a 40cc 18" poulan chain saw that won't stay cranked once the choke has been released. I smell a lot of gas so I'm thinking I need to adjust the carburetor. If someone can tell me how to do this I would be grateful.

Chainsaws are a beautiful piece of equipment that many homeowners use. One of the biggest problems why a chainsaw does not run properly is the fact that sawdust can pack around the flywheel, chain, and air filter.

Always start at the area that has the most clutter and that is the chain and sprocket. I always remove the chain nut and remove the cover. Clean all areas with your air hose and make sure the oil spill is clean as well. This is the area where the oil leaves your saw and lubricates the chain. The sprocket will have a lot of dust as well and keep blowing air until the area is chip free.

Another thing I like to do is turn the chain along the bar and blow the grove as well. This helps remove chips and other clutter that might bind your chain. When you are finished with this area close it up and blow off all areas of the housing. Once you have finished with this move to the most important area.

Cleaning the the air filter is the last thing you want to clean. Cleaning this area is super easy but if you are not careful the sawdust will fill the very hole the air filter is supposed to keep clean. We take a shop towel and plug the hole before we use the air hose. Give it a quick shot of air and keep doing that until all the dust is gone.

Next take your air filter and blow the air on both sides but not directly on it. Use the air at an angle so you don't damage the filter and have to purchase another one. Once you have that area clean put the air filter back it and close it up.

Locate your spark plug area and give it a quick shot of air just to make sure no chips or saw dust is present. One last area to consider is your muffler. You are mixing your gas and 2 cycle oil therefore you will have grime build up. Keep this area clean so your motor is not stressed.

By following these simple steps your chainsaw will be thankful of your investment in care and perform at its best.
