Carb Carburetor
1985 Jeep Cherokee Pioneer from North America - Comments
Carburetor - seems to be leaning out at low RPM under engine load. Symptoms are intake backfire (occasional, not severe) and rough idle. No vacuum leak could be found after extensive searching.

I am looking for a diagram of a Rochester carburetor for a 1983 Chevy C10 with a 4.1 ltre engine?
I am having trouble with my Carburetor on my 1983 Chevy C10 Pick up. I have rebuilt the carb, but something is not working properly. Is there anyone out there that would possibly have a diagram of the linkage and vacuum lines of this carburetor.
As far as the vacuum diagrams, Autozone.com has a ton of them for your truck. Used to be I could just link you to the page. But now they've changed it so that you have to register, then click "Repair Info", then enter your vehicle info, then click "View Repair Guide, then click "Driveability & Emissions Controls", then Vacuum Diagrams". I just looked at it. This page covers 1980-1987, and it's about 20 feet long. No joke. Scroll down 'til you start hitting 83 models, and go from there. You need to know which trans it uses, whether it's a California or 49-state calibration, and maybe more to find the right one.
As far as linkages, the instructions in the kit you bought should cover that. I'm so unfamiliar with that motor myself, I 'm not even sure which carb you would have. My guess is either a "Dualjet" 2M type, basically the front half of a Quadrajet 4-barrel.

Or I suppose it could be a "Varajet" 2S type, which has one primary, and one secondary.

If you can't find the linkage stuff on those pages, let me know (click my avatar and e-mail me) which type you have, and the stamped number, and I have more stuff on both of those carbs here on paper, that I could scan and post on my Yahoo! Blog.
Or you could order this book used, for $6 +postage. Virtually everything you could possibly need to know about Rochester carbs.

I've gotten a lot of use out of my copy over the years.
If you don't know any thing about this water fuel technology, then let me give you some brief introduction about this technology. This HHO gas technology is not a new technology it has been reinvented from an American citizen to beat the gas prices.
Now, with existing technology, anyone can stand up and make a difference by reducing the local automotive pollution, eliminate gasoline expenses, help restore our atmosphere, and breathe a little easier. In putting these plans into operation, you will be making use of your entire existing system except for the fuel tank and the catalytic converter.
Lets Have A Look At The Free Plans:
Build and install a low-cost alternative method for running your vehicle on tap water, using off-the-shelf components. This is simply an efficient way to convert ordinary tap water into gaseous hydrogen and oxygen, and then burn these vapors in the engine, instead of gasoline. This "mini system" runs easily from your existing battery and electrical system, and it plugs into your carburetor with simple off-the-shelf fittings. You will be installing a plastic water tank, a control circuit, a reaction chamber, a hi pressure carb fitting, and 3 gauges, and then hooking into your existing carb.
The simplicity comes from its being an "on-demand" system requiring no fancy storage or plumbing. You crank the gas pedal or throttle, and you electrically create more vapor for immediate consumption, on demand; low-high flow rate as needed, from idle to maximum power. The only real change is that you are using tap water as fuel, instead of the traditional petroleum-based fuel.
Is It Safe?
Yes, this system is safe there is nothing danger in it.This system is practically as safe as your current gasoline arrangement. You will be installing a few simple safety devices, using current automotive standards.
There are thousands of people around the world using this amazing system and saving dollars every month. some people are getting up to 65% increase in gas mileage.Don't wait for decrease in gas prices, there is no chance left to decrease in oil prices. Build hydrogen generator yourself to convert your car to run on water otherwise you have use use public transport to save money. Think once again.
Get the best guide which shows you how to build hydrogen generator your self to convert your car to run on water
