What is the best car light bulb replacement (PIAA, Hella, Sylvania)?
I am looking for the best car headlamp light bulb replacement. Taking in consideration of longevity, brightness, and whiteness.
I like the PIAA. I owned a fog light kit.
If you are using solar power to provide light in or around you home, such as outdoor solar garden lights, the light presented is being emitted through one or more LEDs or Light Emitting Diodes. The LED is specifically made to release light and to do it efficiently with minimal energy absorption. The diode itself is contained within a plastic casing designed to promote the release of light in a specific direction. A large portion of the light produced inside the casing bounces off the side walls before its release through the rounded end.
There are tremendous advantages to the LED compared to conventional incandescent bulbs. The LED does not have a filament that ultimately burns requiring regular replacement thus the LED bulb lasts much longer often up to 20 times as long. Durability is also a factor as the tough plastic casing of the LED is much more damage resistant than traditional bulbs. Modern electronics also welcome LED bulbs much more than larger bulbs.
Beyond the physical advantages to the LED bulb, it is their energy efficiency that is most beneficial. Incandescent bulbs emit lights thanks to the high generation of heat as the internal filament requires this to operate. As a result a great deal of energy is expended to heat the filament and produce light and most of the generated heat is not used towards visible light. Now LEDs inside your electronic devices or your solar powered garden lights generate barely any heat and just a small amount of energy is required to produce light. The end result is very beneficial to consumers as the cost and use of electricity is greatly reduced thus saving money and energy.
At the onset of LED development production costs were much more expensive that today as the semi-conductor materials were higher. Over the past decade these costs have dropped steadily leading the path for much more LED bulb production thus a huge boom in popularity due to the benefits they offer. The LED bulb with all of its benefits appears to be the wave of the future as many technologies, particularly electronics, will utilize these bulbs in many applications for their effectiveness and size leading to easy adaptation during manufacturing.
Although initially more expensive on the front end, LED bulbs far outlast incandescent bulbs and while the energy savings and operating life of the LED is far superior to any other bulb. This results in long-term cost savings for consumers and an environmentally friendly product.
