I broke the hurricane style wall sconce, better wording?
This fixture was probably from at least the 60s or earlier. It was a white milk glass look that had a "pear" type shape to it. I somehow managed not to knock off the very much hurricane style clear glass that encases the light bulb.
I'm not sure how to word it accurately to find a replacement. It needs to be able to rest on approx. a 6 inch diameter tarnished brass ring. The lamp turns on with what looks like a skeleton key. Someone has to know this. (Sorry I can't post a picture, broke the camera, another dilemma). Thanks.
Many lighting stores, like Lamps Plus, have catalogs with reproduction lights and globes. I found a white milk glass bell shaped one I broke off of a 1920's apothocary light. I literally took in the broken pieces not only to match the shape but to ensure I got the right size to fit into the hole, too. Call around to shops in your area that are lighting specialty stores to see if they have a repro catalog you can special order from.
