I got my pressure washer powered up, but I can't tell if the motor is spinning in the right direction.?
It's powered by a 7.5 hp 3phase motor. I can't see the shaft turning because it is bolted to the pump and enclosed. How can I figure out if I wired it correctly. Does it matter? It's a piston type pump.
You should be able to get water through the system and out spray wand without even starting the unit.....simply hook up supply hose , open the valve and pull the trigger on the spray wand, and allow water to flow until a steady stream of water flows out. This is necessary in order to prime the pump... then start the motor and try.....DO NOT RUN THESE PUMPS DRY......It will be toast in about a minute- insure a good, leak free supply ( the garden hose ) If it sprays for a sec, then quits- you probably need a better supply....... my 5 hp does OK with a large hose ( 3/4 ID) and decent pressure ( at least 45 psi) Be careful with the elect SVC running that thing- If it hooks up with You, Its gonna HURT
