Weedeater wont start/air leak?
I have a tanaka tbc 270pfd weedwacker that started yesterday, and died soon after. I added fuel, checked the fuel lines, primer bulb, and carburetor, and the only problem I found was that the bulb had some cracks. I replaced it, and put everything back together, and now the weedeater will crank but not start. I think that it only started yesterday because there was some residual fuel left in the carb that drained when I took it apart. Now Im not getting any fuel suction when I prime it, but I can hear the air escaping. Again, the fuel lines look good. Any ideas?
There may be a small screen in the carb that may be blocked. The JD I have is about 6mm in diameter and I cleaned it with a Q tip. Also replace the gaskets on the carb, any air leak will give it problems.
