Your main fuse block for the whole car should have an empty fuse holder that you can tap into to wire it. If you don't feel comfortable doing that you can attach a wire and fuse holder to the positive of the battery. Use this to run to a simple on off switch and run from there to the LED light strip. use any bare metal on the chassis of the car for the ground on the LED light strip.

Make sure the fuse holder is as close to the battery as possible. The longer the wire leading from the battery to it, the more likely it could short and start a fire. I wouldn't recommend more than a 1amp fuse for the LEDs.

We have had flying cars for 40 years. Until the government gets its new air tracking system up and running in the next decade, it cannot and never could track all the traffic, so the FAA said no to it.

But the new "sport" flying license is a step in the right direction. You can now get a flying license in TWO WEEKS. There are a lot of restrictions, but it you want to fly, you can get a license in TWO WEEKS.

As for the jet pack, no one has been able to provide a jet power pack that lasts more than 33 seconds--that is also small enough to use.

Solar energy is a fully renewable energy resource that offers a sustainable alternative to pollutant fossil fuels. If you're concerned about the environment, there are few things you can do that will make as significant and long-lasting an impact as switching to solar energy. (Which is not to say that you shouldn't also recycle and take short showers.) However, as with anything else, solar energy has its share of pros and cons. Here's your chance to weigh them yourself.

Con #1: High upfront cost. While solar investments pay for themselves in about 10-15 years and continue producing solar energy for an additional 10-15 years, the upfront cost of solar continues to be a significant barrier. Generous state and local incentives and a 30% federal tax credit can help mitigate the cost. Some solar companies also offer system leases and power purchase agreements that offer you lower energy costs without the initial installation fee. Even so, a high quality solar power system is going to require some financial output on your part.

Con #2: Conditions of installation. Not everyone is a good candidate for solar power. Eligibility is dependent on on roof orientation and shading. Ideal solar candidates have south-facing roofs with little or no shading. The daisy-chain pattern in which solar modules are connected means that even slight shading from neighboring trees, telephone poles, and buildings can compromise the productivity of your system. Additionally, if your electricity bills are already very low, your solar power system will take longer to pay for itself and may not be the best financial investment for you.

And the pros:

Pro #1: Significant savings. Solar power systems pay for themselves within 10-15 years and keep producing free energy for years after. They offer reliable and fairly high returns on your investment. Depending on your energy usage and system size, they can also zero out your monthly electricity bills. Some utility companies will even pay you for any excess energy you generate in a process called net metering.

Pro #2: Environmental benefits. Solar energy is indisputably cleaner and more sustainable than coal or nuclear based energy. Unlike fossil fuels, sunlight is a totally renewable resource: it is estimated that the Earth absorbs enough energy from the sun in one hour to cover all human needs for a year. And solar panels produce energy without giving off harmful greenhouse gases. Over its lifetime a medium sized 2.5kw/h solar power system is equivalent to planting 500 trees or not driving 270,000 miles.

Pro #3: Low maintenance. Solar power systems generally contain no moving parts and need very little maintenance over their 25-40 year lifespans. Inverters and panels from brand name manufacturers such as Sharp and GE come with extended warrantees in the off chance that anything does go wrong. General maintenance is limited to hosing off the solar panels every now and then, which means that your lawn is officially more work than a solar power system -- a lot more work.

Your math is right. Solar today is not going to be cheaper powering just your gaming computer, compared to grid electricity.

A modern computer is a special case, because it has a switching power supply generally capable to accepting a wide range of input voltages. So if you had an array putting out 150 to 330 volts DC, you could probably hook your computer up to it directly, no inverter required. The problem is, to get up to that voltage, you'd need maybe 6 modern panels, and that has a cost running into the thousands, as you say.

2. Water Features and Fountain Lighting

Landscape lighting can enhance water features such as fountains with incredible effects. A fountain can glow and a small pond can be transformed from below the water surface with LED lighting. You want to be sure and choose the correct lighting for your situation though; it will make all of difference in terms of how your water feature will be perceived. The most common choice for fountain lighting is the submersible light. These lights are placed underwater and illuminate upwards to create a shimmering effect. They also help to illuminate streams of water as they flow in to the basin of the fountain. Colored filters can be added for creativity. LED landscape lighting is a good choice for fountains because is much less expensive than traditional incandescent lighting and they come in many vivid colors as well. Solar lighting is by far the cheapest and easiest to install and is becoming a popular choice for many because of this. However, you may not get enough light for your particular setting with solar landscape lighting, although technology is getting better. Choosing the correct lighting techniques for your fountain will take a little planning on your part. 3. Walkway Lighting

Walkway lighting is crucial because it adds safety as well as accentuates the materials used on your path as well as surrounding plantings. The most common application these days is solar lighting. Grazing is accomplished by installing a light approximately 6" from the edge of your wall or facade and aiming it vertically up the wall. The textures of your house, fences or retaining walls will be highlighted and accentuated using this technique. Another way to light a wall is by using spot lighting. Spot lighting can be done by either up or down lighting. A creative way to use spot lighting is by up lighting a tree or any ornamental structure, for example a statue, by shadowing it. Shadowing is accomplished by positioning a light behind the object and aiming the light through it towards a wall. Silhouetting an object is another example of up lighting a wall using spot lights. You will want to locate your landscape light in between your ornamental peice and the wall, then position the light to shine on the wall at a 30 to 45 degree angle. The result is that the dark image your object is in front of it; only the shape of the object is shown, no leaf or flower color or texture shows up.
