outdoor lighting....why are there so few halogen pendant fixtures?
all I see are countless lantern/box style lights. I want the smallish halogen lights that are designed for indoors.....but there are only a couple.

will not be rained on, it's covered. I just don't want a big brass box with a bulb inside it....that looks like crap.
That sounds very pretty, but I'm afraid they would blow in the wind. I am trying to picture what you are talking about. I picture pendant style as a long wire with the light at the bottom, like you would have over a kitchen island. I suppose it would work if it was a metal tube soldered to the base of the hanging light. That would keep it sturdy. You might think of having a handyman or metal worker design one from parts that you might purchase for cheaper.
